Recently, I have been part of a growing number of discussions both in person and online around ways we can improve and elevate the function.
There are obviously huge gaps in the way the people function operates and it also varies market to market and types of companies. We have generally establish that privately owned family businesses are far behind in the overall scheme of things. Unfortunately, in many cases it is led by owners/leaders of the business who are still not convinced as to the value the people function brings and therefore HR is ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ/๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฑ. Even in MNCs, at operating company level, the level of support is not as great as it should be sometimes.

The cumulative mind power and intellectual horsepower of the experts in the function needs to be funneled and channeled. I know many who will be willing to share, contribute and interested in this. I absolutely am.
