INTRODUCING TAREF (Talent Accelerator Role Evaluation Framework)

We are experiencing a whole paradigm shift in jobs moving towards specialization. Look at the tech function as an example. Previously, software development covered a whole lot of things, now over the years that has evolved to further specialization, such as Mobile app development, Agile software development, New product Development and what not. We are seeing similar trends and shifts in almost all functions.

A key and fundamental implication of this shift is around how we price jobs with single skillset or very specific set of skills within a small area of specialization. We will continue to have regular sales, marketing, functional jobs but new jobs are being created and those too highly specialized. From startups to biggest companies in the world, all are fighting for the same talent and for many jobs the talent pool is inadequate.

We need a new way to look at how we evaluate and size up these jobs in the context of the companies they are under. We need an improvement on the current Job Evaluation models. To solve and help companies make the right decision on job sizing, we are thrilled to introduce you to TAREF (Talent Accelerator Role Evaluation Framework).

We developed this new methodology working with other Total Reward experts in the field, comparing existing models and in the context of a highly specialized workplace created a multiple model framework that allows us to weigh jobs depending upon what matters. Over the next few weeks and month, we will be sharing more details about our framework.

We will launch TAREF on 1st January 2023 and are super excited. This is our first of the three Compensation Tech Tool we plan to launch next year
